Writer's Block: Speak and spell

Wait, the question is no longer about your willingness to abuse your bureaucratic authority in order to commit sexual assault on potentially underage students? Gosh, but they were getting so many interesting answers from fans who just love the idea of getting to molest unwilling people for their own pleasure.

I mean, seriously, not to flog the misshapen and pulverized corpse of a quadruped with this tire iron more, but what the hell is wrong with people? This question is 'how sexy do you find the horrific abuse of trust and authority if it's about the fictional characters you like to frig yourself about'? Harry Potter fandom and their gleeful splash in the waterpark of Pedophilia/Incest/Statutory Rape World has hit some pretty low depths in the past, but who possibly thought of this as a sexy bit of fantasy roleplaying outside of bad commercial porn?

Ugh, I was right. Nothing brings out the sheer fucking creepy awfulness in fans than children's books.

Nownow, sweetie, play nice. If we're talking about what brought out the sheer fucking creepy awfulness in fans, it would in fact be the internet itself.

[identity profile] frito-kal.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
No, they were awful long before that. Fans are just ... awful in large groups, I think.

[identity profile] ferox.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I agree. But at least they were in small, easily managed packs. Now we have the internet where they feel connected to another human being that they would have never met otherwise who is telling them that, yeah, incest is totally okay and hott!1

[identity profile] frito-kal.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
On the other hand, many of them have learned to bathe.

Although I'm not sure what's worse, Twimoms or Catbox Smelling Comics Man...

[identity profile] ferox.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Which we all appreciate.

Twimoms. There you KNOW they've procreated.

* NOTE! I am not discussing all less socially adept internet users. I am speaking of the seriously deranged, who think molestations and incest and whatnot are hot and okay, whether or not it's pack mentality (an entirely different discussion).

Anyone who thinks it's romantic for a grown man (I don't care how old whatshisface looks, he's what, 105 or something?) to break into a teenage girls' room and WATCH HER SLEEP has serious serious problems with love, romance and relationships.

Can't. Busy writing about checking fifteen year old Hermione for explosives in her underwear while she cries, calls for her mother to help her and begs me to stop touching her between the legs.

See, I can totally write Harry Potter fanfic!

okay, this actually needs to be fic. Like - over-the-top, disturbing TSA parodies that attempt to make the point of the OP.

[identity profile] dexfarkin.livejournal.com 2010-11-23 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah... no. It's disgusting enough without expanding it out so someone can masturbate to it.

Nah, doesn't sound like Hermione. She'd have hit the guy with half a dozen assorted jinxes and probably kicked him in the crotch for good measure. :)

I can just picture the look on your face.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Harry Potter fandom's attempt to win back the Pedobear Memorial Creep-out Award from the Twilight fandom. :P

[identity profile] jalendavi-lady.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
It may not even be the fandom.

There's a chance some of the creepier responders are just taking advantage of a site-approved method of saying they'd like to molest Emma Watson or Alan Rickman.

I did scroll through.

Just because they say the character's name doesn't mean it's not the actor or actress they are actually thinking about. Especially in the case of the child actors - apart from Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter is most of what the main cast has done professionally.

The person specifying teenage Tom Riddle likely was, especially given the 'have you seen him' comment about Draco.

And the person talking about AVPM specifically names the actor as the reason.

And yet referring to the under-age fictional characters' names when you're in fact wanting to molest the adult actors is less creepy how?

I'm sorry, I read things like this and I have to agree, the fandom is showing its worst side.

[identity profile] jalendavi-lady.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying it's any less creepy.

I'm saying that the responders may not be members of the actual fandom.

Until you go to their user profiles and see they're fans of J.K. Rowling, they "attend" Hogwarts under their school option and they're members of various HP fandom communities. The girl who wants to "feel up Ron" specifically says she's a fangirl.

I appreciate trying to defend your fandom, but in this case, I think you just need to accept that you have members of your fandom who find the shiny fictional sexxors much more applicable to their way of thinking than "hey, groping someone when they don't consent isn't cool".

By the way, I agree with the hypocrisy of LJ posting this after Strikethrough. But I find most of the answers answering the question instead of protesting it highly icky.

Bwahahaha! LJ FAIL.

How true. Especially in those who filter out every part of a story except the 'ship.
