Yes, all the important people are back.

Not that my return is really anything like Doc Halladay's, but since I've been infecting friends into the cult that is Blue Jay's baseball, it's a good excuse to mention that the Doc had his appendix out three weeks ago, and came back to pitch last night, allowing no runs and striking out seven to notch his 100th career win. That is the very definition of 'nails'.
For those of you unaware or not sure about why my account has been reading as deleted for the last couple of weeks, an explaination in very brief.
UpdateEdit: I have finished the bid and submitted it! I am victorious! Bring me the finest bagels in all the land!"
Due to various issues and escalating stress, I decided to limit the crap and distractions going on in my life in order to focus on some specific things that needed doing. One of the things that had been especially bad for the three and a half weeks prior was LJ. Since I'm a weird complusive, I can't not check it if it's available, and since it was sucking away my will to live on a daily basis, I decided to use Disa's process and delete it for a couple of weeks to get clear of some things and get other things done.
Turns out that it was one of my few excellent choices this year, since in the last two weeks, I have been balls out at work to an insane level (which also had me working this weekend and every night on top of my days), I was sick for a solid week with a still unidentified stomach bug, and happened to be working on my largest fan project since the CBFFAs.
However, as of today, I have my major work project done (and a brand new one to obsess over, but I digress), the fan project nearly done, and other than my Typhiod Mary roommate giving me a slight cold, I am hale and healthy enough to drink too much again.
I apologize to anyone who might have thought this was an Audrey-esque 'Goodbye' and swanning off into the sunset. Mind you, everyone who was worried about that e-mailed me, so if you didn't e-mail, you deserve it. How about that, you unfeeling bastards? *grin*
So, what did I miss?

Date: 2007-06-01 03:58 pm (UTC)I was wondering why you had deleted, but completely understand your reasoning... LJ is like crack.

Date: 2007-06-01 04:02 pm (UTC)Since then, I got a nice note from the person who requested the fic, and another nice note from someone else who read it. I think that's very encouraging, don't you?

Date: 2007-06-01 07:39 pm (UTC)And that's unfeeling bitch, thank you. Even though I've kept most of my entries unlocked so you could keep updated when you got weak. Oh, maybe that's very thoughtful? Or coniving? Or. Is two-thirty too early to start drinking?

Date: 2007-06-02 08:45 am (UTC)And, no. Sadly. Just gotta hold on a little bit longer.

Date: 2007-06-01 08:42 pm (UTC)Halladay's return was pretty cool (and so was the game time; Send 'Em Home Early Buehrle strikes again), but can't you teach people about real baseball? The kind without a DH?
And, finally, if you were going to go swanning off? It would not be with a whimper or a sigh and a strikethrough. It'd be with gold glitter and a full orchestra.

Date: 2007-06-01 09:13 pm (UTC)As for baseball, I'm an American League baby. I like the DH. However, I see your Mets are tearing it up, with Tom 'Big Nuts' Glavine and Billy 'Can Even Close Yo' Momma' Wagner. They have former Jays Green and Delgado, so there is a legitimate reason to like the team.

Date: 2007-06-02 02:36 pm (UTC)Glavine's on the same pitching schedule as Jamie Moyer (and Randy Johnson when he's not too intimidated to come back to NY). It's Oldtimer's Night in the NL at least once a week. Especially with the way the Mets are going down to injury and forcing Julio (I Taught Methuselah How to Catch) Franco to play in the infield.

Date: 2007-06-01 08:43 pm (UTC)Per your disappearance: HAH! I wasn't worried, you queen. I knew you'd be back.
Per me: So, uh. You got couch space fo' a sista, just in case, come the Con? *cough*

Date: 2007-06-02 07:15 am (UTC)Probably because I have the opposite problem to you - when my life gets insanely busy (which so far all of 2007 has been) LJ gets reduced to minimum interaction.
I would have missed you if I'd noticed you were gone *g*.
I promise to make up for my bad friendness by buying you beer when I get to Toronto :)
