Probably because I have the opposite problem to you - when my life gets insanely busy (which so far all of 2007 has been) LJ gets reduced to minimum interaction.
I would have missed you if I'd noticed you were gone *g*.
I promise to make up for my bad friendness by buying you beer when I get to Toronto :)
