Uh, Dex, I hate to tell you this...but I can't see the attraction in reading stories written about ficcers. (Yeah, I know, I know...the Old Codger from Fanboy...) Never could. It's just me, but it seems to me a little TOO self-indulgent. So much for that.
One. Notification for the RR types from the earlier days. Not trying to rope you or anyone else in who are not interested.
Two. Of course it's self-indulgent. I like self-indulgence. Considerig all of the shit flying around in the last year, I think wallowing in something totally without merit beyond a giggle and drunken discussion is good for my soul.
I rather like the idea of reality striking. 20 ficcers in a beach house over Spring Break would be more than stellar. Writing it, pah. Living it . . . damn, I wish one of us had a beach house. A friend of mine really does, in W. Virginia, but the beach is so eroded he's not certain after winter that it won't be condemned for relative unsafeness (last summer the waves were beating on the porch struts) and I know we're all poor and most of us live nowhere near W. Virginia.
But . . . damn. It would be nice, and if you can't have it, why not just sit around and talk about what it would be like? I'm sure even you, DM, have sat around with friends talking about what you would do if this or that. ::fond snug:: Be not such a party pooper. If you went to a beach house for a week and had only to worry about food and drink money, wouldn't you kick back and watch the waves? Not your cup of tea, that's fine, but I know a plain in Spain that needs the rain more than this bunch. No real need for criticism, it's all just a bit of fun.
I should have known. but of course, I tried to read this while I was in the computer lab at school. which was really stupid. since I kept my palm over my mouth to stop from laughing out loud.
consider this fb, since I can't join in. *grinsbig*

. . . Oh, Gandalf, you're probably right, as usual . . .

It could be fun, you know. =)
