While this week has been largely like being trapped in a small room with a Sodomizing RobotTM that has a broken off switch, there have been some positives.

Dinner last night. Ooh... cryptic lack of explanation why it is on the list! One would think this is a complaint about something one Twitter or something.

I am full of cash - well, sorta. I mean, comparitive to my normal state. But there is something that makes this flush state different. That is because as of today, I official owe no money to anything anywhere. No credit card debt. No school loans. No overdraft, credit line, collections account, nothing. At most, the only possible debts I have left might be money borrowed from people and then forgetton about. Which, lets be honest, I probably wasn't going to pay you back in the first place.

A raise. It's not a lot, but it's better than being able to poke someone I vaguely dislike in the eye with a sharp stick. And by 'poke', I mean thrust vigorously. And by 'vaguely dislike', I mean Doqz. And by 'sharp stick', I mean- uh, never mind.

Work for the first time recognizing that I get stuck working insane extra hours to meet deadlines, and sending me home at noon today. Which leaves me sitting in a pub on Bloor with free wi-fi and a full pint, waiting to meet up with a friend for drinks and then watch the Jays game later. Yes, for today only, I love me.
