Other than work doing it's level best to kill me - don't get me wrong. I like the job and the company that I work for, but it's a weird place full of engineers and architects who think that they have a handle on everything, but make themselves so frentic that everything ends up last minute. They will focus on the order of items in a table for an hour while ignoring the other five questions that need direct input as the deadline approaches. Believe me, I need this break.
Lauren is in Oklahoma, which is good for her to get away, but makes me a little lonely. With the insomnia and my normal pre-holiday bout of depression, I'm messed up like six ways to Sunday right now. But that's okay. Like the saying goes, this too shall pass.
Star Wars: The Old Republic arrived today and I have to say that it's as good as the original KOTOR. I have never played an MMO before, but with Bioware, they made it indepth and fully voiced, getting rid of the things that have always put me off WOW. I don't know if it will knock the king from his throne (after all, WOW uses pretty ubiquitous fantasy tropes and SWTOR is canon) but it's started off as a lot of fun to play. Now to get my damn ship back.
Fortunately, I have a week off between now and New Years to screw around with it
