Winner Is You
Jan. 31st, 2010 03:17 pmSo, my eldest sister is back in Canada after 11 years up in Alaska. When she left, I was in college and still being treated by her and my mother as someone who needed to be looked after and couldn't manage for myself.
Fastforward to now, she's up visiting Toronto and I'm looking forward to being able to show that I am a capable adult with a good career, a home, friends, and more than able to handle life without needing people to worry about me crashing and burning.
And then coming home from the pub, I end up slipping on a puddle from a leak in my room, smashing the glass of a painting on my way down, and gashing my skull up. Requiring my sister and roommate to take me to the emergency room for stitches at four in the morning.
Needless to say, I don't think she's convinced yet...
