Mad Futurism
Feb. 1st, 2004 01:44 pmOddly productive weekend. Spent most of it either working on fiction or the Holiday Project. Remember that IT WORKS piece from last month? Well, it's been totally reworked into a longer piece for Shai's plan.
Basically, it's a day in the life of your typical corp drone, with as many weird possible ideas that I can come up with; contracted bio-metric levels, responsive asphalt, mnemonic file swapping. Sometimes, I'm an intensely weird guy.
Moved the office to downtown Toronto. My own office has a view of Front st, the CBC building and the CN Tower. I'm liking it muchly. Tons of work left to do, but since my commute turns from four hours to one hour, I'm not so unhappy about that.
Ryk and I are working on the sketch comedy thing. Trying for March for a first date. It's a little daunting, considering I haven't been on stage since I was 20, but the idea is interesting. Might get the Rivoli on an off night, since I know a couple of people there. If we suck, they'll at least not take the bat to my knees.
Right, that's the vague life update. You may go about your business.
