To [livejournal.com profile] lisew, [livejournal.com profile] buttercup_, [livejournal.com profile] cosmic, and [livejournal.com profile] cynjen,

For tomorrow, we shall be having roast lamb about 4pm. Don't be late.

I have a 5 1/2lbs organic boneless leg of lamb that I'm trying not to eat raw out of the bag as we speak. I will also be providing aspargus, small potatoes and couscous with the meal, and a fresh homemade apple pie for dessert.

You are required to bring the following: any other desserts, appitizers, and sides you feel you need. You are also required to bring either a bottle of wine (red for preference) or a six pack of Moosehead, which I will take as tribute (but will share).

Also, if someone can grab me a 500ml small brick of old chedder, I'd appreciate it. This is not a requirement of the dinner, it's more I'm too damn lazy and sick of shopping right now to get it myself.

now you're going to get four bricks of cheese.

okay! for those of you coming, I'm going to pick up some salad type stuff (assuming things aren't closed by the time I'm out of the shower) and bread, because this is what I was told to bring earlier. damn. I also need to go to the liquor store.

bryant, I will be by later probably to drop wine off at your house, because I don't want to carry it home. I will attempt to remember to bring west wing.

hah! no it's not a bottle shop in Canada, no matter what Bryant says. It's a beer and wine store, or a liquor store. it depends on what it sells. ;)

(actually in Ontario it's the LCBO because that's the ontario liquor board, but that's not what we out west say.)

Right on. I'm sure I could never get used to that. I think I saw it called that someone in the states, in the south. Maybe Atlanta? Just doesn't sound natural. ;)

Though, of course, the *correct* name for it is an 'Off License'.

We invented the language, after all... ;)

Sweet. It's usually the desserts though, right? I've got this chocolate cake I bought at the bar during a basketball game-- in the VIP sections;) -- and man, it's awesome. Still have to finish it.
