Right, Well We Had It Tough

So folks, I will be doing my yearly disappearing act for the next seven or eight days. DexCon is coming to town, and that means that my life disappears so I can shepard fanficcers around Toronto and drink enough to kill a bull elephant. And that's just Friday night.

I will be checking my e-mail everyday, if I can, so if you need to reach me, that is the best route. I'll do my best to get back to you.

So, I leave you with some random thoughts prior to my disappearance.

I purchased a stack of CD-R today, which are completely black. The store clerk said they were having trouble keeping them in stock because everyone was buying them. Number one reason? They remind people of record discs, like the old 45s. So, new prediction: where cell phones will continue to get smaller (I'm waiting for the one small enough to require a 'choking hazard' warning), home phones will suddenly get bigger, and a line of faux wood orante handled retro phones will be a huge line seller in the next 18-24 months.

This will be the first presidential election during which the vice-presidents debate will actually cause a ratings bounce for their presidential nominees. It will also be the most watched vice-presidential debate in American electoral history. Now, who will benefit is still up for grabs.

LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking. I bet Edwards will come off looking better (he's young and slick, so that's sort of a given), but I'd love to see who actually "wins". They're both aggressive in entirely different ways, so it should be interesting to watch nonetheless.

BTW, can you email me your cell phone/home phone # before tomorrow morning? That'd be sort of nice to have. :)

See, I am waiting for this because it's Nixon vs. Kennedy all over again, only now Nixon knows all about playing the TeeVee game.

Except that this time all the makeup in the world can't un-fugly Nixon.

*giggles* And Kennedy's wife isn't a shy, retiring violet.
