Insomnia

So, since Sunday morning, I've had about 11-12 hours of sleep this week. I have this fun little cycle where thanks to the oppressive heat in Toronto this week, I can't sleep. Because I can't sleep, my mood crashes as I get more tired, making me irritable, depressed and riddled with anxiety. As a result of that, I start to have very intense nightmares that keep me from getting any rest out of the few hours of sleep I am able to get.

This is my way of saying that I'm planning a psychotic break in the next few days which will no doubt involve a high powered rifle, the top of a moderately tall building, and the wearing of Doqz's skin.

EDIT: Also, my left eye has been watering on and off for three days.

Hey, you do what you have to do. And sometimes doing involves firearms and the wearing of skin.

Seriously though, I hope you feel better soon.

Lack of sleep sucks, ugh. Here's hoping it's less humid / crazy hot up there for you and you can catch up on some sleep this weekend.

This is a pretty regular thing, have you considered actually seeing a doctor? Ambien turns people into sleep-eating walruses but only like 1% of people who take it - it might be better than the status quo.

Ambien is the only way I get to sleep when I'm having my own self-perpetuating spiral of sleep deprivation. It doesn't clash with my other meds, so that's always nice, but I don't take it regularly, only when I'm super desperate.

I hope the heat will dim a little and you can catch some good sleep...
