So, I was reminded by my good friend today, randomly running into him while he needed to fix his bike, that I need to think about the good things. He's one of them, so this seems appropriate.

I went to see Moneyball, a baseball movie today, and my roommate and girlfriend enjoyed it as much or more than me. That's addiction, friends.

I start work on Wednesday and I am shit scared in the best way you can imagine.

At my pub, the regulars come in every day and ask about my stepdad and make sure to tell me that they are there for me, no matter what. It sounds silly, but these are defacto strangers telling me that they care about me and are there if I need them.

I turned down a job offer because they brought up Smut Peddler from years ago. And I was clear that I completely stood behind my work.

My stepdad is dying, but I'm there and my new work accepted that fact without a fight and promised to support me.

My girlfriend, dispite her own issues, is there no matter what.

My roommate, dispite her own issues, is there no matter what.

So when life rains shit down on you, it's important to remember that you're a lot luckier than you think. All of us.
