dexfarkin: (dammit)
Work has decided to crap on my head like that enormous sphcinter at the end of 'Evolution'. Don't lie to me. You've seen it, and likely chair danced along with them to 'Play That Funky Music'. Anyhow, despite being buried in all aspects of things - and thus fally desperately behind on everything else - I have managed a certain level of personal accomplishment.

The biggest one is in relation to my writing. It looks like one of my old plays published back in a magazine in the Dark Ages has somehow resurfaced, and there's a group in Toronto who might be interested in staging it. How they tracked me down I'm not sure, but I got an e-mail saying that they want to meet and discuss the possibility. I can't give any details, but I can say that it's a step up from community theatre, although certainly far below the Mirvish level of production. My thought about it (and ironically I no longer have either my copy of the magazine or the original script/file any longer) is that it requires a fairly substantial re-write in order to be stagable, but it's a nice ego boost from out of the blue.

Today, there is no pie for you.

Spring Training has began, thanks be to the gargantuan greasy gonads of God.
