Sweet Home Chicago
Jan. 24th, 2011 03:00 pmTo the joy of Republicans (and not a small percentage of Democrats), Rahm Emanuel was ordered struck from the Mayoral Election ballot by an Illinois Appellate court today. Emanuel, the former chief of staff for President Obama and well known as the Congressional strongman for the Democratic leadership, is expected to appeal to the state Supreme Court. That appeal will be successful for a number of reasons, and Emanuel will likely handily win election only to start his tenure as Mayor under the whiff of corruption and influence peddling in order to support his carpetbagging in from Washington.
Why? Because it's Chicago.
