Ahead of an upcoming meeting on HCR in the US, and a rising willingness amoungst Democratic senators to use reconciliation to bypass the expected GOP filibuster, the US Department of Health and Human Services released a white paper on the state of medical insurance in the United States right now. As can be expected, there are a couple of hammer blows on the industry, happily underlined by the egregiously tone deaf Anthem Blue Cross, who dropped a bombshell increase of 25% to up to 39% to their customers in California.
