Haven't been around much of late, thanks to the descent of ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
deathpixie parents landing in town. Lovely people, especially when John gets five pints in and the jokes go from regional to army. This weekend involved a BBQ on Saturday, which brought down perpetualfire, caliban18, ferox, and my friends Mindy and Greg. Sunday, Lauren and I went to the opera for Pelléas et Mélisande, and then for dinner with Rossi's parents and mine.
I've determined that I'm one log away from being able to list X-Project on my damn resume.
We finally got our patio planted last week, so I have herbs and plants growing with grim determination out there. I'm very much looking forward to a few hot days, when I can sit out in the middle of a haze of fresh herb smells, read a book, and smoke a good cigar. Little pleasures, to be sure.
