Life, Such As...
Feb. 18th, 2008 09:29 pmI haven't been around of late. Lots of reasons, lots of stress.
Work is very bad right now. Thanks to feuding at levels far above me, a mistake out of one of my bids was elevated to the point that I'm one mistake away from getting fired. It's not an uncommon typo to have happen, but thanks to two VPs looking to go after each other, my very much in the middle. That makes work very stressful, unhappy to go to, and generally a gut-tightening eight hours of hell daily.
Stress is turning life into an emotional rollarcoaster, as I seesaw between depression and manic activity, with paranoia and extremes of resentment, isolation, anger, hell, even jealousy, which is pretty much foreign to me. Which is why I haven't been on my game of late.
nute made a surprise trip up, engineered in part by
ferox. It was a great surprise, totally unexpected and a nice break from reality. Long and not exactly restful days, but a nice distraction.
On the plus side, I have webspace of my own, and I think that the DexCon website will be reactivation in a couple of days.
Now to catch up on almost a week of e-mail.
