Well, it mostly sucks, but I have really good fish and chips for lunch. It's that nice herbed crumb batter, with a tasty coleslaw. The chips aren't great. A proper chip should be thick and rough cut enough to be able to double as a canoe paddle when needed.

amythyst7 is arriving in Toronto tonight for St.Patrick's Day. I'm looking forward to it. She's surprisingly relaxing for the soul, in many ways like
heatherly, which from me is high praise indeed. I'm looking forward to this weekend, because it also marks the start of a rather long break physically from a lot of things. I'm taking the time between St.Pats and hopefully all the way to DexCon to relax, regroup and re-organize a lot of things about my life. I've been going flat out since well before Christmas, and I'm starting to think that I'm going in a direction simply due to volocity, as opposed to choice. So, I'm going to apply the brakes and give myself some time to make some decisions.
This is very much less significant than it sounds. Just identifying some goals and figuring out the way to get to them.

'Yakkity Sax' has become the theme for my D&D players. Just by listening to it will tell you everything you need to know about our game.

So, I won a beer fridge. Well, I really didn't win it.
Random aside: That reminds me of a Kevin Quain song. Baby, for you I did everything. Don't you remember when I bought you that ring. Alright, I didn't buy but I won it fair and square
Maria, the owner of the Yellow Griffin pub in which I regularly ferry my friends into (Dex was dipped into the Griffin by his liver, and that remains the only vulnerable part on his body!)dropped by to mention that the Rickard's Red contest was over, and how would I like the prize, a small bar fridge.
I don't drink Rickard's Red any more. I didn't enter the contest, and yet, I won the main prize. I'm considering using the whole experience as a metaphor for Michael Ignatieff.
