Sorta Back
Nov. 8th, 2005 06:08 pmRandom updates from the unemployed world.
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who expressed support for me late last week. I really appreciate the good thoughts, and it was a combination of you guys and some total unexpected support from my parents that has done a lot to keep me sane. To keep everyone updated, while the forecast isn't exactly rosey and profitable, I will be getting enough from UI and a couple of other projects to keep my head above water. While I'll be missing the dinners out and the new hardcovers, I will be able to meet my bills and rent, which is the important thing. Also thanks to JB, who called pretty much two minutes after the announcement went up, and Rossi and Mindy, who took one look at the numbed expression and poured alcohol down my throat.
Should the layoff turn permenant, I'm actually looking into some possible ideas for a business of my own, which means a giant risk and going into debt up to my eyeballs. If you see me start twitchy and speaking in tongues, it's because I took this route.
I've been avoiding the internet for a little bit, I am mostly back up and in from now on in. If anyone has been waiting on anything, please feel free to ping me at any point.
Happy birthday to Mel. Sorry that I missed it, babe.
So, that's the deal. Hopefully some pointless content and ranting in the next couple of days.
