New Years

In case people aren't aware, I'll be opening my place for New Years for my yearly party. If you're interested in coming up, just to tell everyone the following.

No earlier than the 27th for arrival. I'll be working both before and after New Years, so I'll be in and out of the apartment. The usual deal for New Years Eve; we'll grab a twenty off everyone to buy a mass and drinks, and go from there.

Currently attending are [livejournal.com profile] lisew, [livejournal.com profile] heatherly, [livejournal.com profile] deathpixie, [livejournal.com profile] cosmic, [livejournal.com profile] iamgerg, [livejournal.com profile] diamond_dust06, [livejournal.com profile] amythyst7 and [livejournal.com profile] maureenans.

I finally got paid today! I shall buy tickets this week.

Also, do I actually need a passport to get into Canada? I've read that a birth certificate is acceptable.

Get your passport

It makes things unbelievably easier, and the birth certificate loophole will be closing for Canada.

And I bought my ticket this evening. :)

Damn. I don't currently have one, which means to get it in time, I'd have to get it expedited. Well, I didn't really what those ninety bucks anyway.

In the long run, it's _MORE_ than worth it.

Trust me.

You don't need it now, you won't NEED one for another year or two, so don't freak out.

I've travelled to Canada on my birth certificate, which is a foreign one with the papers saying I'm American, for YEARS with no hassles. Is it easier on a passport, well, yeah. More than doable, though, if you don't have one.

This says otherwise. However, unless he's planning on staying for a week after, he should be fine.
