At the end of the day, the people I work with are interesting. The people I used to work with are pathetic.
This is the lesson, children. They used to be cool, until you learned it was you they really relied on. Then, they became the sad bastard they used to claim to hate. Until the restraining order and the scorn.
EDIT: Obviously getting way ahead of myself here, but a recruiter just contacted me about interviewing in the next two weeks for an RFP Manager position with a big time blue chip company worth six figures a year. It's a bit of a long shot, but man, it's nice when you get to listen to someone who's paycheck depends on placing you say she thinks you're worth that kind of money.
